Booster Club Regarding Hamline Holiday Spirit Meet

Posted by on December 9, 2009 at 11:29 pm

As most of you are aware, the Spirit Booster Club (that’s us) is hosting our annual Holiday Spirit Meet on Saturday, Dec 19th, 2009. That is less than two weeks away, and there is still a lot of planning to do. We know this may not the best time of year for many of us, yet it is the only time that works, given the college season and other considerations. We will need as much help as we can get from all of our members (The Booster Club includes all families with gymnasts in Dynos through optionals).

Doug has arranged the meet schedule to fit into one day – Saturday. Levels 4 and 5 (including Spirit) will compete at the first session, with registration and prestretch starting at 7:45. We will need to have some of our first shift there by 7-7:15 am. Session 1 goes from 7:45-10:30. Session 2: Is levels 7,8,9, including Spirit. It goes from 9:45 to 2:05pm. Session 3 is also optionals, levels 7-10, 1:15-6:36 pm. Session 4 is AAU, from 5:45-9:40pm. The meet schedule is attached.

We will be sending out a signup schedule for the meet in the next day or so. Hopefully we can all find a time that will work for our family.

In Addition, we are asking for donations of pop from each family as follows: Dynos: 1 12-pack of either orange soda, root beer, or coke. Level 4s: 1-2 12-packs of Sprite Level 5s: 1-2 12-packs of Diet Coke Level 6s: 1-2 12-packs of Coke Optionals: 1-2 12-packs of Mountain Dew.

For those of you who prefer, we will accept $10 in lieu of the pop, so we can purchase it for the meet.

Additionally, we are asking that PIE MONEY and any unsold coupons be returned Monday, Dec 21st. Thank you to all who have participated in this. Remember, there is a Spirit duffel bag for the top 2 sellers (We have one gymnast who has sold 43, one who has sold 30, one at 29).

As a small club, we really need all of our families to participate in our fundraising efforts. The money raised goes to help all the girls. If not competing this year, they will reap the benefits sooner or later.

Thank you for your support.
