We encourage all ability levels, from those with no prior gymnastics experience to gymnasts at competitive Level 10. Ages range from six to eighteen.
Our staff is highly skilled in spotting and teaching both sound fundamentals and high-level skills. They know you come to camp to have fun and learn new skills! Our coaching staff includes instructors from clubs, colleges, and high school programs throughout Minnesota and the United States. The camp is directed by Doug Byrnes, head coach of Hamline University women’s gymnastics team and owner of Spirit Gymnastics, Inc.
Hamline is located in a residential neighborhood midway between the downtown’s of Minneapolis and Saint Paul. For a map or directions, you can go here.
Day camp requires a $100 deposit require to hold a spot. No checks or cash will be accepted, credit card only. All registered campers deposits will be charged after receiving registration online . The remaining tuition will be charged on June 1, 2023. Refunds requested in writing on or before June 1, 2023 will be honored, minus a $75 processing fee. After June 1, all deposits are non-refundable. There will be no tuition refunds after June 5, 2023.
Day Camp is a full day beginning at 9:00 am. Each day your gymnast will receive instruction on vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise, trampoline and dance! The whole camp takes a midday break for lunch at Hamline’s own college dining hall (a highlight for campers each year!) The gymnasts return to the gym for fun warm-up games and the remainder of their rotations. The day closes out with a free choice between swimming and diving in Hamline’s pool or supervised open gym time for your child to work on some of the skills they learned that day. Pick-up is at 4:45 pm.
Weekend Day Training Camp
• Two days of training with dinner on Saturday and lunch on Sunday.
• Weekend camp geared towards high level gymnastics training and instruction.
• We recommend this camp to Levels 8,9 & 10.
• Check in: Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
• Saturday from 1:00-8:00 p.m. with a one hour dinner break.
• Sunday from 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. with a one hour lunch break.
